John Lee Tobin of Glasgow, died Sunday, May 10, 2009 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren County he was the son of the late James and Josephine Meek Tobin. Mr. Tobin was a veteran of the U. S. Army, retired farmer, and school bus driver for the Barren County School Systems for 26 years and a member of the First General Baptist Church of Glasgow where he served as a deacon for 40 years. Survivors include his wife Edna Mae Williams Tobin; 3 sons David Tobin and special friend Angela of Glasgow, Donald Tobin and wife Kaye of Glasgow and Dennis Tobin and wife Teresa of Edmonton; 2 grandchildren Latisha Milby and Jill Milby of Edmonton and 1 great grandchild Dagyn Milby along with several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren Jeffrey David Tobin and Donna Kaye Tobin; 7 brothers George, Wesley, Hardin, Iner, Joe, Leonard and James Tobin; 1 sister Josephine Spencer. Funeral services for Mr. Tobin will be held 2PM Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5PM Monday, May 11, 2009 at the funeral home.
