Johnny Dewayne Young

Johnny D. Young 62 of Glasgow died Monday, May 4, 2015 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren County he was the son of the late George C. Young and Joyce Robertson Young Martin. He was an employee of General Foods and attended the Poplar Log Church of Christ. Survivors include 2 daughters Ashley Parker (Jared) of Wisconsin and Amber Thurman (Zac) of Lafayette, IN; 6 brothers Billy Young and Wayne Young of Indianapolis, Buddy Young of Florida, Scotty D. Young and J. R. Martin of Glasgow and Joe David Martin of Scottsville; 1 sister Kathy Spradlin of Glasgow; 5 grandchildren Emma and Harper Thurman and Cadence, Adalynn and Cannon Parker. Several nieces, nephews and other family and friends survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Georgia Carol Young and his grandparents John and Flossie Robertson and Earl and Fannie Young. Funeral services will be 3pm Friday, May 8th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4pm until 8pm and Friday morning until time for the service.
