Joseph Harris

Joseph Howard 'Joe' Harris, Jr. 66 of Georgetown, KY and formerly of Glasgow, died Friday, May 12, 2017. Joe was born in Glasgow June 9, 1950 the son of the late Howard and Maud Harris. He was a 1968 graduate of Glasgow High School and was retired from R. R. Donnelley after 43 years. Joe is survived by his wife Sheila Morgan Harris; his daughter Brandy Lawson and husband O'Dail of Georgetown; two granddaughters Ann Kalyn and Sarah Lawson; two sisters Bonita Downey of Florida and Linda Armstrong and husband M.D. of Glasgow; a sister-in-law Karen Embry and husband Charles; brothers-in-law Joey Morgan and Alan Hapney; nieces and nephews, Amber Hatton, Ali Johnson, Aaron Armstrong, Chuck Embry, Brian Hapney and Morgan Hapney. Several great nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Penn Harris and a sister-in-law Teresa Hapney. As Joe requested, he was cremated and no public services will be held. Expressions of sympathy in Joe's memory may be made to the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library in Glasgow.
