Joseph John Coleman, 68, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, Florida. He was born February 11, 1956 in Glasgow, Scotland to the late Patrick Coleman and May Slater Coleman. Joseph served in the British Army, was a retired truck driver, and a devoted member of St. Helen Catholic Church. He loved attending car shows, watching British murder mysteries, walking his dog, Stella, and watching his birds. Joseph was a very caring, respectful man. He never missed an opportunity to show support for a veteran and was always checking in on his neighbors. Joseph was also very low key and quiet. His favorite past times were sitting in the sunshine and spending time at the beach. He loved his family more than anything and will be dearly missed.


Survivors include his loving wife of 10 years, Emily Ratterman Coleman; one daughter, Katelynn Coleman of Glasgow; one son, Lee Coleman of Georgia; three sisters, Lilly McKay, Marie Ferrier, Sandra Gallagher, all of Glasgow, Scotland; two brothers, Robert Coleman of Glasgow, Scotland and James Coleman of Reynella, Australia; one grandchild; one stepdaughter, Shannon Swift; one stepson, Greg Knoerr (Chris); four step grandchildren, Thurston, Jack, Boyd, Graceann; and several nieces and nephews.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Helen Catholic Church or Little Sisters of the Poor St. Joseph’s Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.


The Prayer Service for Mr. Coleman will be held 3:30 PM Thursday, March 28th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00 PM until time for the prayer service at the funeral home. Please share your condolences with the family at www.afcrowfh.com.
