Joseph C. Leech 87 of Glasgow died Monday, March 12, 2012 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. The Barren County native was born in Hopkinsville, a son of the late Brice Reynolds Leech and Ruth Emerson Terry Leech. Joe was a land surveyor and a real estate developer. He owned and operated the Brice Leech Company and was proud to be a partner in Eastern Hills Co. Mr. Leech was a graduate of Centre College where he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity and was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He enjoyed playing Bridge and loved playing the trombone which he did for many years in the Glasgow Community Band, and he was a fan of the University of Notre Dame sports. Joe had served 30 years as a member of the Glasgow Water and Sewer Commission and some of those years as its chairman, was an active member of the First Christian Church and the Glasgow Rotary Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jean Jolly Leech, and brothers Jack and Brice T.
