Joseph Priore

Joseph Priore, 60 Glasgow resident Joseph A. Priore, 60, passed away on February 16, 2010 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital after a battle with cancer. Born in New York City, Joe spent his childhood in New Jersey before relocating to Kentucky to attend Western Kentucky University. There he met his wife, Linda Bennett Priore, and completed his degree in social work. Joe was employed as a social worker with the state government in various capacities for many years before retiring from the Department of Juvenile Justice in the summer of 2008. He was a kind, gentle man whose humorous and caring attributes will be greatly missed by family and friends. Mr. Priore is survived by his wife Linda Bennett Priore of Glasgow, KY; daughter Amanda P. Treadway of Murfreesboro, TN; son Benjamin J. Priore of Atlanta, GA; brother John Priore of Greenfield, IN; sister Carmela McKendrick of North Brunswick, New Jersey; sons-in-law Todd Treadway and Michael van der Harten; and grandchildren Sarah, Cheryl, Taylor and Hunter. He is also survived by extended family in the Glasgow, KY and New Jersey areas. Visitation will be held from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday, February 20, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. A brief celebration of Joe's life will begin at 4pm. No flowers please.
