Josie Furlong Edmunds 101 of Glasgow died Wednesday, January 3, 2006 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. She was born in the Mammoth Cave area of Edmonson Co., and later moved with her family to Barren County. She was the daughter of the late David Hubbard Furlong and Emma Herron Furlong and wife of the late John Ray Edmunds. She was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters Margie Kinslow (Earl) and Barbara Page (Bill) both of Glasgow; a grandson William Michael Church of Hendersonville, TN; a granddaughter Neva Ray Miller of Glasgow; three great grandchildren Emma Church of Hendersonville, TN, Sarah and Robert Miller both of Glasgow; two sisters Elizabeth Edwards and Lucy Denton of Glasgow. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by a daughter Frances Edmunds Church and four brothers Ed Emery, Milton, Louis and Jewel Furlong. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00pm Friday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the Glasgow Baptist Church Scholarship Fund or any Charitable organization of your choosing.
