Judy Shipley Matthews Honeycutt, 82, of White House, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born September 28, 1941 in Barren County, Kentucky to the late Hermon Shipley and Lee Denham Shipley. She graduated from Temple Hill High School Class of 1959. Judy married Doug Matthews on July 10, 1960 and together, they had two children who survive, Melinda Carris (Gene) and Matt Matthews (Kim). Doug passed on February 6, 2003. She later married J. T. Honeycutt on June 14, 2009 and gained a valued second family. Judy was saved on July 6, 1973 and united with Rayon City Missionary Baptist Church. She was baptized by Elder D. W. Story on December 2, 1973 in Mansker Creek. At her death, she was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her children, survivors include two grandchildren, Natalie Ellen Shoulders (Chris), Harrison Matthews; six great grandchildren, Kenley, Gunnar, Emrie, and Harper Shoulders, Leslie and Lily Alexander; and her second valued family, two daughters, Vicky Honeycutt Warren, Cathy Honeycutt Williams; four grandchildren, Jenna Warren Johnson (Brian), Jessica Warren, Zach Williams, Anna Williams; and five great grandchildren, Samuel, Daniel, Elias, Ezra, and Jewel Johnson.
In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her second husband, J. T. Honeycutt and one granddaughter, Madison Macy Alexander (Troy).
The funeral service for Mrs. Honeycutt will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 24th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
