Jula Mesker

Jula Strode Mesker 85 of Glasgow, died Friday, August 12, 2011 at the Glenview Health Care Center in Glasgow. Born in Monroe County September 10, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Mattie Pitcock Strode. She was retired after 40 plus years at Kentucky Pants/ Key Industries and was a member of the Grider Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include 1 daughter and son-in-law Bea and Larry Hager of Elizabethtown; 1 granddaughter Kathy (Hank) Fordham of Florida; 1 grandson David (Michelle) Hager of Illinois; 4 great granddaughters Kaelynn, Hailey, Erin and Kyla; 2 great grandsons Tyler & Preston; 2 brothers Joe (Martha) Strode of Adolphus, KY and Luther Strode of Okeechobee, FL; a half sister Ina Botts and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Willie Mesker, a daughter Judy Carolyn Mesker; an infant grandson Michael W. Hager, 3 sisters Bonnie Strode, Marie Strode and Jewell Woods, a half sister Bessie Walker, 6 brothers Tommie, Doyle, Floyd, Earl, Willie and James Strode and a half brother Roy Strode. Funeral services will be held 2PM Monday August 15, 2011 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2PM until 5PM and on Monday from 8AM until time for services
