June Steenbergen Thomas Martin, 91, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born June 18, 1930 in Barren County, Kentucky to the late Charlie Steenbergen and Ellie Nitzchke Steenbergen. June's last job was reading the Bible to residents at NHC Healthcare and she was a devoted member of Peters Creek Church of Christ. In addition to reading her Bible, some of her favorite pastimes included gardening, quilting, and spending time with her family and precious grandchildren. June will always be remembered by her family and those who loved her, as the most positive, caring, and devoted Christian woman. Survivors include, four children, Donnie Thomas (JoAnn), Chuck Thomas (Donna), Nancy Simmons (Danny), Kenny Thomas (Shelly); twelve grandchildren, Robin Bartley (Kelvin), Monica Bledsoe (Brent), T.J. Coffey (David), Jimmy Payne (Jennifer), Melissa Vernon, Johnathan Thomas (Betsy), Deanna Dickerson (Elliot), Joey Newberry (Karissa), Ashley Martin (J.T.), Corey Thomas (Amanda), Courtney Thomas, Colton Thomas; twenty seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Sue Wiley and Shirley Payne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Sanders Thomas, Leo Martin; and one brother, Sonny Steenbergen. The funeral service for Mrs. Martin will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 25th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Hopewell Cemetery in Allen County. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F.
