Katie Grider

Katie Lee Grider 74 of Glasgow died Wednesday October 20, 2004 at the T.J Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. Mrs. Grider was the daughter of the late Eskel Oakes & Martha Jane Houchens Oakes and the wife of the late Murrell Grider. She was retired from Mallory Capacitor in Glasgow and a member of Glasgow Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter Murlene Davidson and husband Gary of Glasgow and a son Tobey Kinslow of Chicago, IL; 2 grandsons Brian Davidson and wife Patti and Brandon Davidson all of Bowling Green; 2 sisters Marie Clark and Hallie Owens both of Glasgow and a brother Bobby Oakes of Louisville. Several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by 2 brothers James & Aubrey Oakes. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday October 24, 2004 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6pm Saturday at the funeral home.
