Keith Wayne Norman, 89, of Glasgow, passed away Friday, September 4, 2020 at his residence in Glasgow. He was born in Glasgow, on January 2, 1931 to the late Carvel Guy Norman and Zona Walker Norman. Keith was an avid golfer and gardener and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 50 years. Keith was a U.S. Army Korean Veteran, retired from the 1st Battalion 623rd Field Artillery, Kentucky National Guard. He was with the Glasgow Police Department for 32 years and received the Kentucky Medal of Valor, the highest civilian award given. He served with the BCSD for 16 years in which time he served as a Bailiff and Court Security. He leaves behind his beautiful wife of 63 years , Elizabeth Chapman Norman of Glasgow; two daughters, Kim Bartley (Eddie) and Cindy Hampton both of Glasgow; three sons, Wayne Norman (Susie) of Auburn, Edward Norman and Kevin Norman both of Glasgow; grandchildren, Phallin Key, Alex Norman, Noah Norman, Evan Bartley (Keely), Andy Bartley (Candace) , JW Hampton (Sarah), Kaitie Hampton, Will Hampton, Tora Sanders (Cody), Marcus Norman, and Asher Norman; great grandchildren, Billy Vick, Nathaniel Vick, Brayden Bartley, Owen Hampton, Corbyn Sanders, Axl, Jayme, Charley, and Cherokee Norman. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Lynn Norman; five brothers, James Guy, Rondall "Bully", Carl "Dale", Jerry, and Bobby Norman. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Wednesday, September 9th at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. DAV Chapter #20 will provide Military Honors. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Wednesday morning until time for service at the funeral home. All those who wish to honor and remember Mr. Norman in person at the visitation or service must wear a mask or other appropriate facial covering and practice physical distancing while inside the funeral home for the safety of those in attendance.
