Kenneth A. Brown 84 of Glasgow died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. The Glasgow native was the son of the late Patty Orion Brown and Mary Jane Walbert Brown. Kenneth was a veteran serving in the U. S. Army and was a retired Methodist minister. He was ordained in 1957 and was a member of the Kentucky Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church for 46 years serving throughout Kentucky. Kenneth was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Glasgow. Rev. Brown was a former pastor at the New Buck Creek Church and Mt. Pleasant Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce Bailey Brown; 1 son Michael Brown (Karen) of Summerville, SC; 2 daughters Patricia Bush (Doug) of Glasgow and Leslie Witt (Jim) of Hudson, OH; 6 grandchildren Brian Brown (Erica), Deana Blanding (McFadden), Kara Beth Herrington (Ashley), Kellie Pinkel (Chris), Becky Witt and Cody Brown (Bobby); 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Ginger Lynn Beckers, a sister Katherine Billingsley; 2 brothers James and Joe Brown, a nephew Joey Brown and his father and mother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bailey. Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4pm Tuesday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and continue Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church from 10am until time for the service.
