Kenneth Jerome Mattingly, Sr. 74 of Austin, KY died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 at Westview Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born in Indianapolis, IN the youngest of 15 children of the the late Walter John Mattingly and Mary Sabina Gough Mattinly. Mr. Mattingly was a dairy farmer and former salesman. He had fulfilled his life's dream to farm and was a member of the National Dairy Committee and the Farm Aid Committee. He enjoyed his family, friends and his dog Katie. His motto for living was 'work hard, play fair, have fun'. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Scottsville. He is survived by his wife Mary Rose Warren Mattinly; 3 sons Kenny Mattingly (Beverly) and Tim Mattingly both of Austin, and Craig Mattingly (Cindy) of Leonardtown, MD; 4 daughters Joyce Mattingly (Darrell) of Brownsburg, IN, Angie Mattingly of Philadelphia, PA, Anne Hodges (Todd) of Glasgow and Jennifer Gibson (Ron) of Jacksonville, FL; 19 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a brother Ralph Mattingly (Mary Jane) and a sister Pauline Mershon (Lewis) all of Indianapolis, IN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday Nov. 14, 2009 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Scottsville, KY. Burial will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home on Friday from 12:00 until 8:00pm and on Saturday at the Church from 10:00am until time for the service. A Rosary service will be held at the funeral home at 7:00 PM Friday.
