Kent Thrasher, 78, of Glasgow, KY, passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 at his residence. He was born December 16, 1941 in Albany, KY to the late Newman and Sallie Minnie Groce Thrasher. Kent was a U. S. Army veteran and retired from the Kentucky State Police Department Post 3 as a detective after serving dutifully for 27 years. After he retired, he became a park ranger for the Barren River State Park for 7 years and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his loving companion of 20 years, Sandra Poynter; one daughter, Sheree Green (Bobby) of Bowling Green; and three grandchildren, Casey Green, Gunnar Green, and Olivia Poynter. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, David Thrasher, Teddy Isaac Thrasher, Billy Thrasher; and one sister, Betty Thrasher Zrnich. The funeral service for Mr. Thrasher will be 2:00 pm Thursday, October 1st at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Old Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 30th from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home and on Thursday morning from 8:00 am until time for the service.
