Larry Arthur Thomas, 72, of Glasgow died Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. Born in Glasgow he was the son of the late Willie and Lena Trent Thomas. Larry was a retired technician with the Glasgow Animal Clinic. He was also formerly employed as a police officer with the Park City Police Department, was a Barren County Constable for District 1 and an Auxiliary Officer with the Glasgow Police Department. He enjoyed being with his family and friends; loved talking politics and would talk your ear off for hours; was an avid antique collector and tinkerer. He was always willing to help others and loved spoiling his great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Geneva Harper Thomas; two sons Robert Thomas (Niki) of Glasgow and Jeff Thomas (Tonda) of Scottsville; a daughter Melissa "Sissy" Thomas Brummett (Jerry) of Glasgow; a granddaughter that he raised as his own child, MaRanda "Randi" Bow McCandless (Zack) of Glasgow and three other grandchildren Heather Thomas, Illyonia "Illy" Thomas and Braxton Thomas all of Glasgow and 8 great grandchildren; a sister Carolyn Thomas Gilpin (Dale) of Wisdom; a brother Jerry Thomas (Beverly) of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews that he loved very much. In addition to his parents he was preceded by a son Larry "LB" Thomas; three brothers J. P. and Bill Thomas and James Simmons; three sisters Ruth Camp, Aline Eudy and Susie Thomas. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Mt. Olivet-DeWeese Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Monday at the funeral home.
