Larry Thomas Glass, 82, of Glasgow, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home following recent health issues.
He was born in Barren County on August 30,1942 and was the son of the late Alonzo Thomas and Rennie Ester McCoy Glass. Larry was the proud owner and operator of the Larry Glass Construction Company, Inc. He was involved in Ukraine Mission work for 30 years and a supporter and mentor to many organizations and individuals in our community and beyond.
Larry is survived by his wife, Sylvia McCoy Cook Glass; son, Larry D. Glass and wife Charlotte Demunbrun Glass of Glasgow; daughter, Sherry Glass Thompson and husband Adam Thompson of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Dean Glass and wife, Meg of Cullman, Alabama, Connor Glass of Glasgow, Nelson Glass and wife Hannah of Glasgow, Mahalie Thompson Kirk and husband Aspen of Greensburg, Dena Thompson Lindsey and husband Tyler of Bowling Green; three great grandchildren, Kellen Kirk, Kollie Kirk, and JT Lindsey; four brothers, Bernice Glass (Paula), Perry Glass, Lonnie Ray Glass (Sandy), and Leland Glass (Ancy); two sisters, Regina Cleary and Ruthene Glass; two stepsons, Tracy Cook (Beverly) and Kelly Cook and their families; and he was also close to his step granddaughter, Nicole Cook.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Geraldine Flowers Glass; brothers, John William Glass, Marshall Glass, Jerry Glass, and Hollis Glass; and one sister, Carolyn Lyons.
Funeral service will be Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the South Green Street Church of Christ. Visitation will begin Saturday, February 8, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home beginning at 9:00am for family with public visitation at 10:00am until 8:00pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Sunday from 8:00am-12:00pm. Viewing at the church will be from 1:00pm until the 2:00pm service. Burial will be at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
Alternate expressions of sympathy can be made to the Shanti Niketin Hospice Home, 1020 Glenview Dr., Glasgow, KY 42141. This was a special heartfelt project to Larry.
