Larry Thornton

Larry Dale Thornton 65 of Glasgow, KY died Saturday September 26, 2009 at his home after an illness. He was born in Warren County, the son of the late Porter and Edna Pearl Gaddie Thornton. Larry was a Certified Public Account and had been involved with various area businesses as a consultant or in management. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force, and had been a former Pastor of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed and was known for playing the role of Santa Claus during the Christmas season. He is survived by his wife Shirley; 1 son Todd Thornton of Bowling Green; 2 daughters Tammy Donham (Chris) and Traci Webb (Josh) both of Nashville, TN; 1 grandchild Keevan Donham; 1 step-daughter Wendy Hand (Jim) of Alabama; 1 step-son Billy McDerment (Patti) of Alabama; 6 step-grandchildren; 3 brothers Rondall Thornton (Amy) of Bowling Green, Bill Thornton (Hazel) of Portland, OR and Ken Thornton (Jean) of Bowling Green and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday Sept. 30, 2009 at the White's Chapel Methodist Church at Boyce, KY in Warren County. Burial will be in the White's Chapel Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday at the Church from 11:00 AM until time for the service.
