Larry Wayne Bransford

January 15, 1950 — May 16, 2022

Larry Wayne Bransford, age 72, of Glasgow, died Monday, May 16, 2022, at Greenview Regional Hospital. The son of the late David C. Bransford and the late Gladys (Follis) Bransford, he was born in Glasgow on January 15, 1950. He was a floor supervisor at Eaton Corporation and a U.S. Army Veteran stationed in Korea. Larry was the starting point guard for the 1968 State Champion Glasgow Scottie basketball team. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and united with Hopewell Baptist Church. There he served as an usher and teacher and worked faithfully in church for the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Shannon) Bransford; one son, Dwight Arturo Bransford (Sharita) of Louisville; three grandchildren, Mekei Bransford, Aidan Bransford, and Nadia Bransford; two brothers, Jerry Bransford (Barbara) of Glendale and Michael Bransford of Glasgow; three brothers-in-law, six sisters-in-law, and a host of other relatives and friends also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Bransford. The funeral service for Mr. Bransford will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 21st at Hopewell Baptist Church with burial in Barlow Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, 11:00 AM until time for services at the church. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is handling arrangements. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Bransford.
