Lawrence Gilbert Jessie 85 of Glasgow died Monday August 27, 2007 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Adair County the son of the late Noah and Della Jessie. Lawrence was a Laboratory Technician at Howard Clinic for many years and retired from General Medical Company. He was a WWII veteran where he served in the South Pacific and was a member and former Past Commander of the Edwin P. Barlow VFW Post. Mr. Jessie was a charter member of Faith United Methodist Church where he was a former Sunday School Teacher, choir member and a certified Lay Speaker for the United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Ruby Cole Jessie; 1 daughter Barbara Jane Pendleton and husband John of Glasgow; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tom and Ann Cole of Bowling Green and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday August 30, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 5:00pm Wednesday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the Faith United Methodist Church, 200 Green Acres, Glasgow, KY 42141.
