Lawrence Smiley

Lawrence O'Neal Smiley 74 of Glasgow died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren Co. he was the son of the late Henry Jewell Smiley and Virginia Smiley Corbitt. Mr. Smiley was of the Baptist Faith and Veteran serving in the U. S. Air Force. He was also a member of the Bowling Green VFW Post and the American Legion. Survivors include 2 sons Mark Smiley Nuckols of Glasgow and David O'Neal Britt of Bowling Green, KY; a daughter Janice Allen of Glasgow; 2 sisters Birtie Smiley and Henrietta Duncan both of Toledo, OH; 8 grandchildren Emily Wood, Markeysia Nuckols, Tonikia Wood, Devin Byrd, Faith Byrd, Page Byrd and Janice Howard; 3 great grandcildren; a niece Kathy Payne of Bowling Green and a nephew Glen Victor of Louisville, KY. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a granddaughter Ceylina Howard and 2 sisters Ida Mae Allen and Minnie Huff. Funeral services will be 12:00pm Monday, December 24, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Odd Fellow Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Sunday at the funeral home.
