Lenville Likens

Lenville Earl Likens 67 of Glasgow died Friday May 7, 2004 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was born in Barren Co. the son of the late Issac and Maggie Taylor Likens and husband of 47yrs to Wanda Smith Likens. Lenville was a Carpenter, Bricklayer and was well known in this area for the many Wooden Chairs, Rocking Chairs and Swings that he has made. During his life he attended the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife Wanda Likens of Glasgow; 2 sons Scotty Likens and wife Sherri of Glasgow, JamesLikens and wife Elizabeth of Glasgow. 2 daughters; Janet Polson and husband C. David of Glasgow, Teresa Gamelli and husband Don of Greenville, TN. 2 brothers; Albert Likens and wife Lura of Indianapolis, IN, Ottis Likens and wife Charlotte of Glasgow. 4 sister; Evelyn Decker of Glasgow, Rosa Dewbrew of Greenfield, IN, Lucille McKinzie of Glasgow, and Sue York and husband Alvis of Glasgow. 2 sister-in-laws Catherine Likens of Indianapolis, IN. and Martha Likens of Glasgow. 1 son-in-law Larry Parrish of Glasgow. 9 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and 4 Step Great Grandchildren. 2 special friends; John Goad and Jimmy Deckard also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by; 1 son Wilson Eugene Likens, 1 daughter Sandra Parrish, 2 brothers Ernest Likens and Herbert Likens and 1 sister Stella Hiser. Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12:00 noon on sunday at the funeral home.
