Leon Franklin Turner 91 of Glasgow died Thursday, November 17, 2016 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Monroe County the son of the late Arthur G. and Effie Thomas Turner. Leon was an auto mechanic and owner and operator of Turner's Garage for 30 years. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Navy and was a member of South Green St. Church of Christ. Leon is survived by his wife Darlene; 2 sons Jay Turner (Nancy) of Glasgow and Jeremy Turner (Sandra) of Nashville, TN; 4 grandchildren Allison Wallace (Britton) of Smithfield, KY, Whitney Gries (Ben) of Louisville, Jacob Turner (Kristin) of Nashville and Jonah Turner of Nashville; 2 great grandchildren Hudson Lee Wallace and John Benjamin Gries; 1 step granddaughter Krista Duckett and 1 step great-grandson Gavin Matthews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Deborah Alice Turner, 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 19th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 and Saturday morning until time for the service.
