Leona Hatchett

Katherine Azbill 'Kay' Hatchett 79 of Glasgow died Tuesday February 8, 2005 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Royalton, KY she was the daughter of the late Clara Oney Azbill & Andrew Jackson Azbill. She spent her childhood in Magoffin County and Lexington, graduating from Lexington's Henry Clay High School and Fugazzi Business College. She married Eddie Hatchett in 1949 and moved to Hiseville, joining her husband in operating the family farm. She is survived by her husband Eddie Hatchett and two children Lynn Hatchett & husband Barry Levy of Longwood, FL and Glasgow and Ed Hatchett & wife Judie of Frankfort. Also surviving are three grandchildren Catherine Hatchett of Frankfort, KY, Elizabeth Hatchett of Louisville, KY and James Hatchett of Bowling Green. Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Don Everson at 10:00am Friday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with entombment in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon till 9pm Thursday at the funeral home. The family invites expressions of sympathy to take the form of donations to the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Public Library.
