Leonard Crabtree

Leonard Mitchell Crabtree, 78 of Glasgow, died Saturday March 28, 2015 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Barren County the son of the late Lennie B. Crabtree and Beulah Hood Crabtree. Mr. Crabtree was a USAF veteran, retired machine operator for SKF Manufacturing of Glasgow and a member of Dover Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Elsie Ireland Crabtree of Glasgow; son Jerry Crabtree (Sharon) of Glasgow; 4 grandchildren, Jerry Jacob Crabtree, James Houston Crabtree, Jasper Lee Crabtree & Christina An Crabtree all of Glasgow; 3 sisters Pat Martin & Alyne Sewell of Glasgow and Evelyn Meador of IL; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 5 brothers Ewell, Robert, Everett, Earl & William Crabtree and 4 sisters Mary Nell Medley, Chlorine Geralds, Clarine Polson & Irene Crabtree. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday March 31, 2015 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the DAV Chapter #20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be after 3:00pm Monday March 30, 2015 at the funeral home.
