Leonard Edwin Jones 89 of Bowling Green died at 4:10am Sunday February 10th at Rosewood Health Care Facility in Bowling Green. The Summer Shade/Nobob native was born October 20, 1918 in Barren County, KY the son of the late Levi Leonard and Ina C. Norman Jones. Mr. Jones was a WWII Veteran of the US Army, a farmer, worked for the United States Dept. of Agriculture, and worked with the Howard Frasier Tobacco Warehouse in Barren County. He Enjoyed the pleasures of nature and wildlife. Survivors include three sisters; Clorine Lawson of Glasgow, Susan Cox of Lexington and Lou Alice Witty of Bowling Green; one brother Lindsey Jones (Vanita) of Madison, TN; nine nieces, six nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by a sister Iona Murray and three brothers-in-law Bob Murray, Bobby Lawson and Henry Cox. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday February 13, 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery with military honors being provided by the DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and on Wednesday from 12:00 until time for services.
