Leslie Gibbons

Leslie Earl Gibbons 87 of Glasgow died Sunday, February 23, 2014 at his home. Born in Glasgow, he was the son of the late Hershel and Sarah Elizabeth Sheffield Gibbons. Mr. Gibbons was self-employed and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include his son Gary Gibbons and wife Tammy of Glasgow; his daughter Diane McGuire and husband Preston of Glasgow; 6 grandchildren Michele Combs (Jarred), Chastity Hayes (Justin), Ashley McGuire, Kasandra George (Nathan), Dana Clark (Timmy), and Alex Pedigo (Lindy); 3 great-grandchildren Caleb Hayes, Liam Pedigo and Annsley Clark; 2 brothers Walter and Doug Gibbons of Glasgow; a sister Ruby Smith of Cave City and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Lou Johnson Gibbons, 3 brothers Lewis, Arthur and Waldo Gibbons and 3 sisters Alice Boles, Effie Chase and Alma Chase. At the request of Mr. Gibbons, there will be no visitation and his graveside service in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery will be private. A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
