Lester Jenkins

Lester "Les" Jenkins 83 of Glasgow died Sunday, April 30, 2017 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. He was born in Jackson County, NC and was an Independent Life Insurance Agent and a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Sharon; 2 sons Gerald Christopher Jenkins of Raleigh, NC and Tim Jenkins of Union, SC; 1 daughter Lisa Dawn Bailey (Robert) of Union, SC; 4 step-children Joseph Devers, Jr. of Bowling Green, Larry Devers (Becky) of Glasgow, Scott Devers (Jennifer) of Bee Spring and Erin Lyons (Danny) of Bowling Green; 1 sister Lois Perryman (Richard) of Lexington, NC; 6 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren and 17 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Michael Scott Jenkins. A funeral mass will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, May 4th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4pm until 8pm. Rosary services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday.
