Lewin Ward

Chester Ward 96 of Glasgow died Monday August 13, 2007 at the Glenview Health Care Center in Glasgow. He was born in Barren County the son of the late W. S. and Lucy Ann Nichols Ward. Mr. Ward was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was a former auto body repairman for Pedigo Pontiac in Glasgow. He was a member of the local amateur radio club and enjoyed collecting guns, knives and coins. Survivors include his wife of 75 years Laverne Poore Ward and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Otto, Earl, Bruce and Bill Ward and four sisters Lucy May Ebert, Christine Nordstrom, Gladys Palmore and Ruby Ward. Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday August 16, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bowles Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
