Lillie Ray

Lillie Christine Hawkins Ray 88 of Glasgow died Friday January 27, 2006 at the NHC Health Care Facility in Glasgow. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of the late William F. and Minnie Whitman Hawkins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Claude Marion Ray. Mrs. Ray was a homemaker and a member of the Little Bethel Baptist Church were she was a Ladies Sunday School Teacher for many years. Survivors include two sons Michael Wayne 'Mike' Ray and wife Patricia of Glasgow and Stephen Lynn 'Steve' Ray and wife Donna of Glasgow; a daughter Willowdean Hogue and husband Leland of Glasgow; two granddaughters Leigh Ann England and Stehanie Lynn Ray of Glasgow, Two great grandchildren Johny Lee England and Rhea Ann England; one step grandson Bruce Bell and wife Amanda and one step great granddaughter Riley Bell and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister Arlene Crump, a brother Horace Hawkins and a half brother Leslie Higginbotham. Funeral services will be 1:00pm on Tuesday January 31, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Rocky Hill Cemetery in Rocky Hill, KY. Visitation will be after 11am on Monday.
