Linda Sue Meadows 70, of Bowling Green died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at her home. She was born in Leemaster, VA the daughter of the late A. T. Hagy and Ethel Ramey Hagy. Sue is survived by her husband Dean; a son Steve Meadows of Lexington, KY; a daughter Julie Burklow and husband Scott of Bowling Green; a grandson Conner Burklow; a brother Lowell Hagy of Vansant, VA and her nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother Omer Hagy. Sue graduated from Berea College on June 5, 1966. She married Dean on that same day, a marriage that would last almost 49 years. After 3 years of Divinity School at Duke University, they returned to Kentucky to begin a ministry together. Their last Church was First United Methodist Church in Glasgow. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Steve and Julie, and one special grandson Conner. Sue was active in music and children's ministry all through the years. Most recently, she became a part of The Lost River Strummers Dulcimer Group and enjoyed that immensely. In the early 1980's, Sue felt a calling to become a nurse. She graduated from Lincoln Memorial University and then from Western Kentucky University. Soon after they moved to Bowling Green in 1985, she began a nursing career at The Medical Center, working over twenty years. Most of that time was spent in the Cardiac Care Unit. Her nursing was a wonderful combination of compassion and competency, qualities that exemplify nursing at its best. She is an active member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Potpourri Class, and the United Methodist Women. Those who know her know she quietly and lovingly lived her Faith in every part of her life. She is much loved and will be greatly missed. To God be the Glory. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, May 8, 2015 at Christ United Methodist Church in Bowling Green. Visitation will be at the Church on Thursday from 4pm until 8pm. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
