Linda Mudd

Linda Leigh Mudd, 75, of Caneyville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 17th, 2016. She was born on Tuesday, May 27th, 1941 in Louisville, the daughter of the late Joe and Opal Mae (Templeman) Hardin. Linda was a loving wife, mother and mamaw. She loved her family and was a member of Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ernest Mudd of Caneyville; 2 daughters, Betty Probus and Malinda Snell (Kenny) both of Caneyville; 3 sons, Allen Mudd (Debbie) of Millwood, Ricky Mudd (Sandi) and James Mudd (Lanette) both of Caneyville; 16 grandchildren, Robyn Probus of Nashville, TN, Michael Probus (Dawn) of Louisville, Jerry Mudd Jr (Amy) of Lebanon, TN, Lee Mudd of TN, Penny Young (Devin), Jennifer Heirs and Shannon Lawson (Jason) all of Lebanon, TN, Stephen Mudd (Jennifer) of Leitchfield, Daniel Mudd (Andrea) of Millwood, Amanda Tomes (Josh) of Caneyville, Kandi Fraze (Michael) of Custer, Adam Mudd (Brittany), Cortney Elmore (George), Cody Mudd, Brittney Mudd and Ethan Payton all of Caneyville; 31 great-grandchildren; one brother, Preston Hardin (Marlyon) of Louisville; one sister, Lila Embry (Floyd) of Caneyville and special family members, Oval and Alberta Higgs Jr of Caneyville and James and Marsha Blythe of Paducah. Other than her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her son, Jerry Mudd and her grandson, JT Mudd.Funeral services will be Thursday, July 21st at 12 Noon at the Caney Creek United Baptist Church in Caneyville. Bro Allen Mudd and Bro William Dodson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Caney Creek Cemetery.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Tuesday after 1:00 pm, Wednesday from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm and Thursday from 9:00 am to 11:30 am.
