Lisa Ann Woodward, 60, of Glasgow, KY formerly of Bourbon, IN, entered into rest February 23, 2021, after losing her battle to COVID-19. Born January 29, 1961 in Bourbon, IN, she is the daughter of Sharon Cumberland and the late James Cumberland. She retired four years ago from Glasgow Independent Schools and was an accomplished educator who taught elementary reading and music over the years. Lisa and her husband Todd have been the music ministers at The First United Methodist Church in Glasgow since 1979. She maintained a piano studio from the time she was sophomore in high school and taught hundreds of students over the years. She was a Glasgow High School graduate and a 1984 WKU graduate with a double major in Music and Elementary Education. Those left to cherish her memory include her son Grant and husband Todd of Glasgow, KY; her mother Sharon Cumberland; her brother Todd Cumberland (Cheri), Alan Cumberland; brother-in-law Wells Woodward (Shelley/Charlie) of Atlanta, GA; nephews and niece, Cody Cumberland, Citt Cumberland (Lauren), and Cheyanne Cumberland, all of Glasgow, KY. Anyone who knew Lisa, knew she was a selfless servant of God. She lived for others at all times; fiercely devoted to her husband Todd and son Grant. Lisa was passionate of her work and whatever she put her hand to. Her love of music completely engulfed her world and all of her students as well. She had a special love for handbell music. She happily served as her husband's right hand in all of his musical/theatrical pursuits. Her love for cooking came from her mother Sharon. After retirement she enjoyed spending time at the lake and beach with her family. In remembrance of Lisa, you can donate to The First United Methodist Church (Faith Meals Ministry) or to the Lisa Woodward Memorial Scholarship fund at Glasgow High School. A memorial service is planned in person at The First United Methodist Church in Glasgow at the FAMILY LIFE CENTER, March 6th at 11AM.
