Liza Cary

Liza Jane "Janie" Cary, 89 of Bowling Green, KY and formerly of Glasgow, KY died Friday, January 29, 2016 at Magnolia Village in Bowling Green, KY. She was born in Monroe County the daughter of the late Don Carlos Sherfey and Rachel Ida Oliver Sherfey and married to the late Morris T. Cary. Mrs. Cary worked for over 30 years at Sorensen Manufacturing in Glasgow. She was a member of the Columbia Ave. Church of Christ. Survivors include 2 brothers in law; Frank Smothers of Bowling Green and Bill Poynter of Cave City; 2 sisters in law Marie Sherfey of Glasgow and Christine Sherfey of FL; 1 Godchild Rachelle Siebert of Bowling Green, KY; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by 3 sisters Jewell Copas, June Poynter and Runelle Smothers; 4 brothers Edward, Haskel, Kenneth and Charlie Sherfey. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday January 31, 2016 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until time for services at 2:00pm on Sunday.
