Lloyd Conrad Harris 59 of Glasgow died Sunday June 18, 2006 at his home. He was born in Franklin, Virginia the son of the late Norfleet Harris and Helen Teresa Turner Harris. Mr. Harris was a former heavy equipment operator with Ruby Construction Co. and later began working and retired from the Great Onyx Job Corps as a Counselor. He was a member of the Randolph Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee and Usher Board member and was also very active with Lifeskills Inc. He is survived by his wife Barbara Hayes Harris; a daughter Melissa Jeanne Sullivan and husband James of Asheville, NC; 4 grandchildren Michael Harris, Stacey Sullivan, Tatiana Sullivan and Kimora Sullivan; an uncle Moses Harris and an aunt Grace Norman both of Portsmouth, VA.; 5 sisters in law Alice Allen, Thelma Hayes, Janet Hayes-Arnold and Cheryl Hayes of Atlanta, GA and Carrie Thorton of Glasgow; 3 brothers in law Chester Hayes of Hardyville, Kenneth Hayes of Lithonia, GA and Robert Hayes of Glasgow. Five sisters and two brothers also survive. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday June 24th at the Randolph Baptist Church with burial in the Randolph Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 1pm until 9pm at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
