Lois Sconce

Lois Sconce 84 of Glasgow died Saturday December 17, 2005 at the NHC Health Care in Glasgow. Born in Barren County the daughter of the late John Will Reed and the late Nettie Mae Knight Reed. Mrs. Sconce was a cook at the Windy Hollow Resort Restaurant in Owensboro, KY for many years and attended the Shiloh Baptist Church. Survivors include 1 son Jack Vance and wife Darlene of Louisville; 1 daughter Shirley Pierce and husband Tim of Clearwater, Fla; 1 brother Herbert Reed and wife Hallie of Glasgow; 2 sisters Mable Jones of Glasgow and Geneva Thomas of Glasgow; 3 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband Cecil Vance and husband Stanley Sconce; 3 brothers Earl Lewis Reed, Rice C. Reed and Jimmy Reed; 2 sisters Verda Vance and Lucille Dickerson. Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday December 20, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00pm Monday at the Funeral Home.
