Lonnie Pursley

Lonnie Herman Pursley 93 of Glasgow died Saturday July 25, 2009 at Glasgow Health and Rehab Center. He was born in Barren County the son of the late Herbert and Mary Alice Davis Pursley. Herman was a carpenter,a former dispatcher for the Glasgow Police Department and a member of the East Main United Methodist Church. He is survived by a daughter Elizabeth Ann Hood and husband Roy of Glasgow; 2 sons James Pursley and wife Vicky of Gallatin, Tn and Ackley Pursley and wife Patricia of Mesquite, TX; 1 brother George Sherman Pursley of Glasgow; a sister Ruby Wilson of Glasgow; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Averil Pursley, a brother James Robert Pursley and a sister Willie Lois Peden. A memorial service will be Saturday, August 1, 2009 2 PM at the East Main United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at the church at 1 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2009. A private burial will be at Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
