Lou Martin

Lou Reid Elmore Martin 66 of Glasgow, KY died Saturday February 19, 2005 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Barren County the daughter the late William Page Elmore and Maye Morrison Elmore of Glasgow who survives. Lou Reid was the fountain manager and cook at the George J. Ellis Drug Store where she had worked for the past 45 years along with her mother Maye. She was a member of the Peters Creek Baptist Church and was a former member of the Glasgow B & PW Club. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband Porter Martin Sr.; 2 step sons Porter Martin Jr. of Smiths Grove and Kenneth Martin of Horse Cave, 2 step daughters Belinda Davis of Atlanta, GA and Deloris Ray of Cherokee Village, Ark.; 10 grandchildren including Jason Martin whom she raised and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday February 22, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 5:00pm Sunday at the funeral home.
