Lou Newsome

Lou Ree Newsome 81 of Glasgow died Monday, November 14, 2016 at her home. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Everett Lee Hunt and Tishie Biggers. Her husband was the late Delmar Newsome. She was a former employee of T. J. Samson Community Hospital and Gale and Dale's restaurant. Mrs. Newsome was a member of Refuge Church of Christ. She is survived by her son Kenneth Darrell Newsome (Mitzi) of Owensboro; 1 grandchild Shannon Wheeler (Gary) of Bowling Green; 2 sisters Shirley Smalling of Bowling Green and Mary York of Glasgow and a brother Billy Hunt (Kitty) of Cave City, KY. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters Cleon Houchens and Mildred Houchens and 1 brother James Hunt. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 16th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 3:00 Tuesday.
