Louie Lykens

Louie G. Lykens 76 of Glasgow died Monday February 9, 2004 at the NHC Health Care Facility in Glasgow. He was born in Barren County the son of the late John and Flossie Hume Likens. Mr. Lykens was a Building Contractor and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He was also a member of the South Central Antique Auto Club. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Ersie Wyatt Lykens; 1 son Bobby Lykens and wife Juanita of Park City; 2 daughters Sandra Travis and husband Robert S. of Glasgow and Patsy Jean Asbill and husband Capers of Ridge Springs, SC; 2 brothers J.P. and Wayne Likens of Glasgow; 1 sister Maxine Collins of Glasgow; 8 grandchildren Shannon Rankin, Mickey Kennedy, Patrick Arnold, Rebecca Asbill, Eric Johnson, Sarah Shirley, Amanda Thompson and Casey Jones and 12 great grandchildren. A brother Everett Likens and a sister Elizabeth Norman preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday February 11, 2004 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
