Lula Whitlow

Lula Bell Whitlow 73 of Glasgow, KY died Saturday January 22, 2005 in the Emergency Room at T. J. Samson Hospital. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late John Thomas and Martha Jane Goad Staples and the wife of the late William Orbie Whitlow. Mrs. Whitlow was a homemaker and a Batist by faith. She is survived by 4 daughters, Doris Moore (Larry), Diane Spillman (David), Beverly Nelson, and Lisa Neal (Cotton) all of Glasgow; 5 sons David Whitlow (Debbie) of Virginia, Donnie Whitlow (Myria) of Glasgow, Jimmy Whitlow (Jackie) of Glasgow, Billy Whitlow (Sharon) of Tennessee and Mike Whitlow (Penny) of Glasgow; 2 brothers John Staples of Bowling Green and Stanley Staples of Seymour, IN; 33 grandchidren including Josh Whitlow and Tiffany Kerney whom she raised; several great grandchildren and her caregiver Brenda Vincent. In addition to her parents and husband, 5 sisters Kathryn Odell, Emogene Dial, Estella Dial, Anna Bell Staples and Myrtie Staples, 1 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday January 25, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00am Monday at the funeral home.
