Lyron Hoover Wiley 78 of Campbellsville, KY and a former Glasgow resident, died Sunday November 25, 2007 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville. He was born in Barren County the son of the late J. Walter and Martha Williams Wiley. Mr. Wiley was retired from the Eaton Corp. in Glasgow and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Lowal Ave. Baptist Church in Campbellsville, the Greensburg VFW and American Legion, the D.A.V. Chapter 70 of Campbellsville and D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow where he was a former member of the color guard. Survivors include his wife Esther Thompson Wiley; 2 daughters Janice England of Smiths Grove and Debbie Ferguson of Knob Lick; 1 step daughter Judy Gilbert of Campbellsville; 1 step son Jackie Thompson of Florida; 2 sisters Inez Buster and Mary Nell Thomason of Glasgow; special friends Eunice Simmons of Glasgow and Leona Price and Lisa Squires of Campbellsville and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Ina Dyer; 3 brothers, Denton, Ray and William Wiley and a step son Charles Thompson. Funeral services will be 1:00pm CST Wednesday November 28, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home in Glasgow with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be after 2:00pm CST Tuesday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 69, Glasgow, KY 42142.
