Madeline St. Charles Spradling 89 of Glasgow died Monday July 12, 2004 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Cincinnati, OH the daughter of the late Anthony and Augusta Navarra St. Charles and wife of the late John Ford Spradling. Mrs. Spradling was a member of St. Helen's Catholic Church in Glasgow and for many years was associated with the family business, St. Charles Market in Glasgow. She is survived by a sister Annette St. Charles of Glasgow; a niece whom she reared as a daughter Leigh St. Charles Blair of Bowling Green, a special nephew she considered a son Machael Hale of Glasgow, several grandchildren and several other nieces and nephews including Madeline Ruth Hale of Glasgow, Tommie Navarra Birge of Glasgow, Kelley St. Charles of Perry, GA, Mary Boniol of Gallatin, TN, Nancy Jane St. Charles of Glasgow and Susan Clark of Raleigh, NC. She was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth Bess Clark, 5 brothers Charley, Michael, Frank, Joe and Tommy St. Charles and a nephew Tommy Clark. A Funeral Mass will be 10:30am Wednesday July 14, 2004 at St. Helen's Catholic Church with the burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home after 2pm Tuesday. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00pm Tuesday at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to: St. Helen's Catholic Church Window Restoration Project, 103 W. Brown St. Glasgow, KY 42141 or the Glasgow Cemetery Memorial Fund of the Glasgow Garden Club, c/o Ms. Georgine Shank, 210 Wedgewood, Glasgow, KY 42141 or your favorite charity or organization.
