Mamie Bell Walden Bartley 101 of Glasgow, died Monday, November 17, 2014 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Martha Sprowls Walden. Mrs. Bartley was a former employee of Handmacher and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Ladies Auxiliary and the Bethel Independent Baptist Church. Survivors include 3 daughters JoAnn Henderson, Linda Cook and Louise Blair all of Glasgow; a son J.B. Logsdon (Emily) of Glasgow; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; a sister Eurie Gooden (Kenneth) of Cave City and a brother Carl Walden (Joyce) of Cave City. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Bartley; a son J.T. Logsdon; 2 sisters Ruth Dickerson and Docie Emmitt; 5 brothers Oscar, Harlan, Charlie, Robert and Bedford Walden and one grandchild. Funeral services will be 3pm Friday, November 21st at the Bethel Independent Baptist Church with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 2pm Wednesday and 8am Thursday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and Friday at the church from 11am until time for the service.
