Margaret Jewell Botts, 85 of Glasgow, died Monday night July 7, 2008 at Barren County Health Care surrounded by her family. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Hershal Meek and Ethel Groce Coulter. Mrs. Botts was a homemaker and was a member of the New Salem United Methodist Church. She is survived by 2 sons, Carlton Botts (Anne Bruce) of Glasgow and Gary Botts (Janice) of Glasgow; 2 daughters Sherrlyn Botts Duvall (Paul) of Bowling Green and Joyce Botts Nunnally of Paducah; 11 grandchildren, John Strader Botts, Jeffrey Carlton Botts, James Bruce Botts, Lezley Layne Mauk and Andrea Joy Elmore all of Glasgow, Taryn Taylor Faught of Louisville, Brian Edward Duvall and Lorie Duvall Rasdall both of Bowling Green, Samuel Todd Nunnally of Houston, TX, Alicia Nunnally Longust of Columbia, IL and Bradley Taylor Nunnally of Paducah; 20 Great Grandchildren; 2 sisters Louise Botts of Glasgow and Jean McCombs of Louisville; 2 brothers Haskell Coulter, Jr. (Joyce) of Glasgow and Reed Coulter of Louisville; a Brother-in-Law Roger Botts (Roberta) of Glasgow; 3 sisters-in-law Merlene Walker, Earlene Turner (Clay) and Juanita Coulter all of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John C. Botts, her step-father Haskell C. Coulter; a son-in-law Marney Nunnally; and a brother Jack Coulter. She was also preceded in death by other brothers and sisters-in-law including Norris and Opal Botts, Lawrence Botts, Johnny Walker, Edna Ruth Botts and Otis McCombs. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday July 11, 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00pm on Thursday. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the New Salem Cemetery Fund, c/o J.T. Pedigo, 3067 New Salem Rd., Glasgow, KY 42141 or your favorite charity or organization.
