Margaret Jewell

Margaret Thomas Jewell 85 of Lucas died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren County she was the daughter of the late Joe M. and Gracie M. Harvey Thomas and the wife of the late Stanley Jewell. Mrs. Jewell was a homemaker, a member of the Barren County Homemakers Club and Peters Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include 1 son Stanley Russell Jewell wife Mary Ethel of Lucas; 3 daughters Sherry Elmore, Linda Adams and husband Lloyd, and Vicki Lile and husband Jeff all of Lucas; 9 grandchildren Timmy Adams, Terry Adams, Tammy Williams, Jeremy Lile, Penny Young, Sandy Bates, David Jewell, Jason Elmore and Jared Elmore; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Leon and Lorene Jewell of Glasgow; and her special care giver Lavern Britt of Glasgow. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 1 sister Gladys Garrett. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, April 29, 2011 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
