Margie Staples

Margie Ann Staples, 83, of Glasgow, died Saturday, November 11, 2017 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Metcalfe County, she was the daughter of the late Betty Thompson and George Alfred Rowe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy J. Staples in 2011. Mrs. Staples was a homemaker and a member of the Five Points Freewill Baptist Church in Washington, NC. Survivors include two sons; Joe Mark Staples (Marla) of Austin and Billy D. Butler (Regina) of Lucas, 1 daughter; Deborah Young (David) of Washington, NC; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Henry Rowe of Louisville and 3 sisters; Marie Janes, Mildred Voltz (Mike) and Linda Carmer (Larry) all of Columbus, IN. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Monday, November 13, 2017 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:30am until time for the service at the funeral home.
