Marion Higgs

Marion E. Higgs, 91, of Caneyville, passed away Monday, November 16th, 2015 in Leitchfield. He was born on Thursday, January 24th, 1924 in Caneyville, the son of the late Edney Sr and Cora (Kennedy) Higgs. Marion was a Vo-Ag teacher for over 30 years and he retired as a Lt Col from the Army Reserves after over 30 years of service. He was also a member of the Caneyville Baptist Church and loved Bluegrass music and played in The Kentucky Bluegrass Band. He is survived by his wife, Macy Higgs; their two daughters, Deborah Bolton (Chuck) of Leitchfield and Kathy Lodge (Michael) of Heathrow, FL; two grandchildren, Jared Bolton of Nashville, TN and Christina Bolton of Jeffersonville, IN and one sister, Margaret Mudd of Caneyville. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers, Hayward, Elbert
