Marjorie Garrett

Marjorie Laverne Garrett 80 of Glasgow died Saturday, December 26, 2009 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Metcalfe Co. she was the daughter of the late Aubrey C. & Elcie Whitlow Hunley and wife of the late Henry O. Garrett. Mrs. Garrett was a member of the Union #2 Missionary Baptist Church, the Barren County Homemakers and a former employee of Mallory's in Glasgow and the Barren Co. School System. Survivors include a daughter Debra Fay Hawkins of Livingston, TN; a son Barry Eugene Garrett (Theresa) of Tompkinsville, KY, 5 grandchildren Johnathan Garrett(LaJill), Alexis & Dakota Gaw, Jennifer Hammer and Felicia Lee and 4 great grandchildren Braden, Ashlynn, John Wesley and Shaylee. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 2 sisters Maurae Foster and Mildred Gore. Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Union #2 Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Monday at the funeral home. alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the Union #2 Church and Cemetery.
