Marvin Dale Etherton

December 30, 1950 — March 15, 2022

Marvin Dale Etherton, 71, of Glasgow, Kentucky entered into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 9:31 PM. He was born on December 30, 1950 in Barren County, Kentucky to the late Charles William Etherton and Mary Evelyn (Melton) Etherton. Marvin was born with a natural love for working on cars and served the Barren County community as a mechanic at Phillips 66 for 20 years. He later made a career change and moved to Georgia in 1987, where he worked for Coastal Utilities for 22 years. Marvin had the gift of gab and all who knew him could always expect a good story. Marvin enjoyed fishing, drag car races, frog gigging, arrowhead hunting, and any black and white western movie. Above all else, he loved his family. His siblings Joey, Rita, Linda, and David Wayne were his best friends. His daughters were his life. The moments spent with Donna, Denise, and Sara were his happiest. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his precious daughters, Denise Sandifer of Missouri, Sara Harris of Georgia, and Donna Uhlich (Cody) of North Dakota; two step sons, Jimmy Kim and Jonathan Whittle; two sisters, Linda Newhouse (Robert) of Tennessee and Rita Morgan (Charles) of Glasgow; one brother, Joey Etherton of Bowling Green; nine grandchildren, Gloria Bethel (Harold), Leah Kane (Bubba), Alex Bush (Morgan), Mike Bush (Sarah), Spencer Sandifer (Megan), Marcus Sandifer (Noelle), Logan Sandifer (Katie), McKenna Uhlich, Luke Uhlich; seventeen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one of his best friends and brother, David Wayne Etherton In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to aid in funeral expenses. The funeral service for Mr. Etherton will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 20th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM and on Sunday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F.
